Alistair Handyside from PASC UK is leading lobbying efforts in relation to a vast number of government interventions into the holiday let sector – including tax changes, statutory registration, energy efficiency, and much more.
During this week's Host Planet Podcast, Alistair spoke in depth about all these issues:
Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) – the consequences if the government forces owners to spend up to £15,000 per property.
Statutory registration – the government has showcased the software. Owners will each have a small fee to pay and will be expected to upload health and safety certifications.
Fire regulations – all the information you need is on the PASC UK website and it is simple to create a fire risk assessment.
His message for Keir Starmer and Rachel Reeves – please gather the data before formulating policy.
Alistair ended the interview with shout-outs for Key Data, Sally Henry, and Robert Kennedy.
The audio version of the interview is available on our website, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and many other podcast platforms.
