Lodgify is announced as the new sponsor of the Host Planet Podcast.

Host Planet is delighted to announce that Lodgify – the global vacation rental software platform – has signed on as the new sponsor of our flagship podcast series.

Starting this week, listeners and viewers will see Lodgify backing every weekly episode of the Host Planet Podcast, with the collaboration including a monthly series built specifically for independent and new-to-market hosts.

A global podcast with massive visibility

Since its launch in 2023, the Host Planet Podcast has built an audience that spans thousands of listeners and viewers in more than 100 countries.

The show is ranked by PodSEO in the top 5% of podcasts globally for visibility – a ranking that weights downloads, earned media, SEO performance, and citations in large language models. In plain English: when somebody, somewhere, asks a serious question about short-term rentals – whether they're typing it into Google, asking ChatGPT, or scrolling industry coverage – Host Planet keeps showing up in the answer.

That reach – plus a listener base of operators, hosts, suppliers, and STR professionals at every stage of growth – is what brought Lodgify to the table.

A rebranded Lodgify with a sharper focus

Lodgify has just completed a brand refresh, repositioning around a clear mission: helping independent hosts around the world run better businesses.

A single owner-managed cottage in Cornwall. A family-run villa in Tuscany. A new portfolio of cabins in the Pacific Northwest. Lodgify's tools – direct booking websites, channel management, reservations, payments, automation – are built for hosts who don't have a corporate IT department behind them, but who are running real commercial businesses.

That focus on the independent host is exactly where this partnership sits.

"The Host Planet Podcast is built for serious people in this industry, wherever they are in the world," says James Varley, Founder and CEO of Host Planet. "We've watched the audience grow into a genuinely global community of operators, and Lodgify's rebrand around independent hosts maps perfectly onto the people we're already talking to every week. This isn't a sponsor logo on the side of the show – Lodgify is going to be in the conversation, with their own dedicated series, real practitioners on the mic, and the kind of substance our listeners actually come here for."

A new monthly series, built for independent hosts

The partnership goes beyond a standard sponsor read.

From launch, Lodgify will host a dedicated monthly series called The Independent Host within the Host Planet Podcast feed, featuring both Lodgify staff and users sharing what is actually working in their businesses right now.

The editorial focus is deliberate: the questions new and independent hosts are searching for online. Pricing. Channels. Direct bookings. Automation. Reviews. AI. The first portfolio expansion. The first hire. The first time the calendar gets away from you. Answered in the same practical, no-fluff format the Host Planet Podcast is known for.

Each episode in the new series will be supported by:

  • A 30-second host-read sponsor message.

  • Three co-branded short-form social media clips on Host Planet channels.

  • A dedicated blog write-up on hostplanet.club.

  • A co-branded landing page covering the full series.

"Lodgify is built around one promise: minimum hassle, maximum independence for the independent hosts who make this industry what it is. The Host Planet Podcast is already where so many of them go to learn and stay sharp, and that's why we want to be here. To be close to the community, genuinely useful, and part of something that actually matters to hosts," says Lodgify CEO, Shaun Shirazian.

What this means for listeners

For Host Planet Podcast listeners, the partnership means:

  • More episodes per month focused on the independent host journey.

  • More guests from inside and around the Lodgify ecosystem.

  • More distribution behind every episode, including paid promotion of the new series.

  • The same editorial voice that earned the show its global ranking in the first place.

No format changes. No sales pitches dressed up as content. More of what already works.

What's next for the Host Planet Podcast – powered by Lodgify
