Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Host Planet collects, uses, stores and protects personal information when you use hostplanet.club, contact us, download resources, register for events, interact with our content, or authorise connected services used by Host Planet.
Who we are
Host Planet provides media, resources, events and commercial services for short-term rental hosts, operators and property managers. For privacy questions or requests, contact james@hostplanet.club.
Information we collect
We may collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, company information, role, enquiry details, event registrations, directory submissions and information supplied through forms or downloads. We may also collect technical and usage information such as device and browser information, IP address, pages viewed, referral source, cookie identifiers and analytics data.
Google Ads and Google API data
Where an authorised Host Planet administrator connects a Google account, Host Planet may access Google Ads data through Google APIs. This can include campaign configuration, campaign and ad status, budgets, targeting settings, performance metrics, conversion actions, attributed YouTube channel subscriptions, follow-on viewing metrics and other reporting data required to operate, monitor, quality-check and report on Host Planet advertising activity.
Google account access is used only for the purpose for which it was authorised. OAuth credentials and refresh tokens are stored securely and are accessible only to authorised Host Planet systems and personnel. We do not sell Google user data or use it for unrelated advertising or profiling. Access can be revoked through the relevant Google account permissions at any time.
Host Planet's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
How we use information
We use information to provide requested content and services, respond to enquiries, operate events and directories, manage partnerships, maintain and improve the website, understand audience behaviour, measure marketing performance, operate advertising campaigns, prevent fraud or misuse, and comply with legal obligations.
Legal bases
Depending on the activity, we process personal information because it is necessary to perform a contract, because you have given consent, because we have a legitimate business interest that does not override your rights, or because we must comply with a legal obligation.
Cookies and analytics
Host Planet may use cookies and similar technologies for essential site operation, analytics and advertising measurement. Where consent is legally required, non-essential cookies should only be used after the relevant consent has been obtained.
Sharing information
We may share information with service providers that help us operate the website, communications, analytics, events, advertising and business systems. They may process information only for the services they provide to us. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect legal rights, or as part of a business reorganisation. We do not sell personal information.
Data retention and security
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including legal, accounting, security and operational requirements. We use appropriate technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or loss.
International transfers
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as recognised contractual protections or adequacy arrangements.
Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct or delete your personal information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, and receive a copy of certain information. To exercise these rights, contact james@hostplanet.club. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
Third-party links
Our website and content may link to third-party websites and services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and Host Planet is not responsible for how those third parties process information.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will be published on the Host Planet website with an updated date.
