We are proud to announce a new strategic partnership between Host Planet and the Association of Scotland’s Self-Caterers (ASSC) – two organisations committed to supporting, educating, and empowering short-term rental (STR) owners, managers, and industry professionals.
As part of this exciting collaboration, Host Planet and the ASSC will work together across several key areas to benefit the STR community.
This will include:
Cross-promotion across both brands' digital channels, including exposure for the ASSC in Host Planet’s A-Z of STR. Host Planet, meanwhile, is now listed as a Trade Supplier on the ASSC website.
Collaborative content projects, including podcast appearances and expert interviews.
In-person events, helping hosts and property managers build stronger businesses and communities.
By joining forces, Host Planet and the ASSC will bring even greater value to STR operators, offering access to the latest insights, regulatory updates, best practices, and industry trends.
James Varley, Founder and CEO of Host Planet, said: “The ASSC is one of the most respected voices in the STR industry. We’re incredibly excited to collaborate with them and support their vital work. Together, we’ll create high-quality content and experiences that help hosts and property managers thrive in an ever-changing market.”
"At the ASSC, we are deeply committed to supporting the short-term let community in Scotland. This partnership with Host Planet represents an exciting opportunity to share knowledge, collaborate on innovative projects, and amplify the voices of short-term let operators. Together, we can drive positive change and empower hosts and property managers to succeed in a dynamic and evolving industry," said Fiona Campbell, Chief Executive of the ASSC.
With aligned missions and a shared passion for education, advocacy, and professional standards, this collaboration is a natural fit – and a powerful step forward for the STR community.
